Le cinéma français fait son « come-back » !

For the fourth edition of the « Festival du Film Français », the brand new French Section of the Societe Jersiaise, together with the Alliance Francaise de Jersey and the French Section of the Eisteddfod, has suggested a great selection of movies! At the Jersey Arts Centre, people will be able to watch two of the most popular French films of the past few years!

On Monday 1st December from 8.00pm, we will show “Untouchables” (“Intouchables”), the biggest success of all time at the French box office.

After he becomes a quadriplegic from a paragliding accident, an aristocrat hires a young man from a tough Paris surburb s to be his carer.

On Wednesday 3rd December from 8.00pm, we will show “The Chorus” (“Les Choristes”), a very popular film in France as well.

The new teacher at a severely administered boys’ boarding school works to positively influencet the students’ lives through music.
