To finish the first half of 2014 before our holidays we decided to show a nowclassic comedy on a theme that will “speak” to all families of our era.

“28 years old Tanguy is still living with Mum and Dad. Brilliant student, charming and seductive young man, Tanguy’s life is fulfilled as he loves living at his parents despite being engaged. Nevertheless he is far from knowing that his parents actually can’t stand him anymore and would resort to any scheme to get rid of him and live their own life. They are finally reaching their breaking point and decide to go live with their plans to make him want to live. But it will not be that simple for them.”

Tanguy is a really fun comedy from a good director of a genre which despite its success knows very little gifted artists and Etienne Chatilliez (Life is a long quiet river, Tatie Danielle) is clearly one of them. Alongside him are two of the best French actors there are and his sense of timing and very sharp dialogue is always spot on. Expect a good laugh, modern day comical situation and overall an interesting cinematic experience accompanied by the usal wine and cheese.

Please, note that a small participation will be asked (£3 for AF members/£4 for non-members) as we will provide snacks and wine before and after the film.
