Diane Monier Moore is our special guest at the Alliance Française for a lunchtime Talk. Don’t miss the introdcution her new book “Dinan - The English colony (1800-1940)” in French. Recently published, this book was launched on 15th October 2017 in Dinan. Expect to learn about the English presence in Dinan from 1800 to 1940, its history and its influence on the region. This English colony includes Jersey people : their stories will be told by Diane. There are two versions of the book, a French and an English one, so you could skim - or even buy - the book in the language you prefer.
Diane Monier-Moore is a franco-jersey writer, whose grandfather Mathurin was the most important historian of Dinan (1901-1974). Amongst other books, Diane edited some of her grandfather’s texts in “Journal d’une vie”. The short presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
